The Logo is Done! Quick Update on the New Venture

Happy days!

Woweee, it’s been a while since I posted here.

What a week! I forgot how much work went into getting a new website off the ground. Not only that, but it’s not your average Joe blog site this time round either. That and some other (not so nice) work confusion stuff – but  I’m not going to bore you with that.

Instead I’m going to jump straight into the good stuff, because holy cow I’m EXCITED!!!

It’s been three weeks of working with The Forge Web Creations to get this logo just right. I tried doing some scribbles on sheets of paper and free design programmes like in the beginning, but honestly – it looked childish and lame. So I thought if I really want this thing to work, I’m going to have to spend a little money to make it happen.

That’s one way to make sure I stay focused and dedicated!

I can’t even describe to you how HAPPY I am with the result of this logo. Actually, just ask Sue. I flooded her mailbox today with all sorts of exclamation marks and smileys, LOL. I’ve never worked with a design company before – I’ve ever only worked at one, so to see the process from a client’s point of view was really interesting!

Without further ado, I’m thrilled to introduce you to…. Imagine You!

imagine you logo

This is my baby – the concept –  I’ve been working on for the last two months. I’ve been backwards and forwards and changed my mind so many times it was getting ridiculous.

Until I saw this logo last night. Then it ALL just made sense and all the pieces finally fell into place.

It was a HUGE light bulb moment.

Some people complained that my last post about this new venture was too vague, so I’m going to try and give a little more info here – without giving it ALL away. I still want something to reveal on launch day!

What is Imagine You?

Okay, truth? I don’t have it ALL worked out yet because I’m envisioning this little thing growing and evolving over time. Well, that’s the dream anyway.

BUT, right now it’s a website. A magazine-style inspirational website.

Since I started writing two and a half years ago, this is pretty much the direction a lot of my writing has gone. I’ve gotten incredible responses from some readers; I’ve even got emails from some All4Women readers, which is awesome!! The thing I realised a few months ago was that copywriting and writing for the rest of my life just wasn’t going to work. There’s too much competition and it’s really cut throat out there. Plus, it’s a little limiting. Yes – EVERYONE told me, but I had to figure it out for myself.

That doesn’t mean I’m going to throw in the towel with writing – I love writing, but it’s time this dreamer got realistic with some long-term goals too.

So here are a few things you can expect on this site come June…

  • Articles
  • Videos
  • Quotes
  • A forum

TopicsBasically feel-good stuff that’s practical and inspiring. And health is just one of the 6 main categories so it’s not a health site.

Not much is it? I feel your frustration. Trust me, ALL will be revealed in June – hopefully on the 1st as planned, but it might be a little later in the month. There’s a LOT to do still.

On that note, let me go carry on trying to figure all this back-end complex (for someone who isn’t techy – it IS complex) stuff out.

Have a good one!

I wish you all the best with your new adventure and I’m looking forward to hearing all about it in June. 🙂
